Is Flagler College A Good School

For all interested applicants “an excellent education in a beautiful location,” Flagler College is a good choice. The liberal arts school in Florida offers a “comfortable atmosphere,” “tons of history and culture,” and “a perfect ratio of professors to students.”

The school’s strong education program is a great advantage. The faculty is “extremely enthusiastic about their jobs” and “very knowledgeable in their fields,” though “there are a few that I don’t think to have real direction,” says a student.

Applicants are strongly advised to earn a score above 500 on critical reading, mathematics, and writing sections on the SAT, or a score above 0 in the four subsections of the ACT.

Step 4: SUBMIT ADVANCED CRAFT

Students who successfully pass the International Baccalaureate (IB), A-Levels (Advanced Levels), CAPE (Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Exams), AICE (Cambridge AICE certificate), and AP get advanced standing credit at Flagler College (Advanced Placement). Please provide an official score report from the Examination Board if you would like to receive advanced standing credit from Flagler College for advanced work completed from any of these examinations.

Flagler College Acceptance Rate

With a 56 percent acceptance rate, Flagler College is a very selective institution. Half of the students accepted at Flagler had an SAT score of 1040-1220 or an ACT score of 19-25. However, one-fourth of approved applicants received scores that were higher than these ranges, while the other quarter received scores that were lower. The deadline for applications is March 1, and there is a $50 application fee at Flagler College.

1. FLAGLER CASTILLO SCHOLARSHIP

Flagler College awards incoming freshmen who are graduates of St. Johns County, FL high schools a Flagler Castillo Scholarship of $2,000 per academic year and Duval County, FL graduates with $2,000.

2. FLAGLER HOPE SCHOLARSHIP

Flagler College awards incoming freshmen who are Georgia residents that qualify for the aforementioned Presidential Scholarship an amount of $2,000 per academic year.

3. PRESIDENTIAL MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS

Merit scholarships are automatically considered for all students (local and international). The student’s weighted, core GPA as well as their top overall test results are taken into account. Some students may not be eligible for a Presidential Scholarship, but those who are will be told how much they will get in their acceptance letter.

First-year students can receive anywhere from $2,500 to $4,500 per school year. If eligible, transfer students can receive between $3,000 and $4,000 every school year.
